The
Stichting 24-Uur Loop Apeldoorn is pleased to be able
to continue a new sportive
element.
This
element is a relay run for small teams with a maximum
of 5 athletes and sponsored by de Stentor
(the publisher of the newspaper for Apeldoorn).
This
element is supposed to be a step to the 24-hours relay
run.
This
relay run starts at Saturday morning at 08:00 AM at the
same time as the 6-hours run of the solo athletes. The
finish will be at the same time as the other elements:
02:00 PM.
The
rules for the 6-hours relay run are the same as the rules
for the 24-hours relay run.

Course
Length: 1,652.72 Mtr. for
solorunners and 1,651.86 Mtr. for relay-teams. Official
IAAF measurement (Jones Counter).The course is situated
in and around a park ("Mheenpark") in Apeldoorn.
The course is flat, free of traffic and illuminated at
night. The course is not suitable for wheelers.
Participation relay teams
Minimum age: 18 years. Number
of runners: 2 - 10 each team (2-5 for 6-hours or small
teams). Mixed teams allowed in class A and B. During the
race replacing of runners (in case of injuries, etc.)
is not allowed.

Participation
/ qualification individuals
Minimum age: 20 years.
Qualification must be proved by a copy of a final classification
in a (official) run of at least 100 Km., dated at the
latest January 1st, 2007.
If the maximum number of participants (+/- 100) will be
reached, priority will be given to the runners with the
best 24 hours or 100 Km. performance 2007.
Runners with a recent (2007) 24 hours performance above
200 Km. and invited runners are qualified automatically.
For the 6-hours athletes no qualificationproves required.
The race is not open for wheelers or fast-walkers.
Minimum distance
The minimum distance to be
covered for the Apeldoorn 24 hours final classification
is 160 KM. for men and 140 KM. for women.

Entry without payment will not be accepted.
Overnight accommodation
Around the course there is
sufficient space to place caravans and to pitch tents.
Sleeping accommodation is also available in a honk of
a scouting group near the course from 03:00 PM on Thursday
1st of May, 2008.
Sleeping-bags etc. are the responsibility of the runners
themselves. Only in exceptional circumstances can the
organisation arrange accomodation with a host family.
Toilets, showers and changing facilities are available
in the nearby sportshall. There are also toilets, water
and (limited) washing facilities available at the course
itself. The sportshall are open for the participants from
08:00 AM on Friday the 2nd of May, 2008.
Providing
The athletes themselves
are, in principle, responsible for their own providing.
During the race tea and water will be put available by
the organisation for the teams. Separated and special
providing for individual runners (sportsdrinks, cola,
tea, etc.).
Medical support
Full medical support during
the race. There will be a doctor, a fysiotherapist, and
the Red Cross for support. Free massage near the course.
For individual runners massage and toilets direct on the
course. Showers, toilets, changing, etc. in and around
the sportshall near the course.
ChampionChip
The circuit registration
for the solorunners will take place this year using the
ChampionChip. The organisation will display the number
of laps completed by the runners. It is possible to use
your own ChampionChip or to hire one from the organisation.
Participation is not possible without use of a ChampionChip!
Awards Relay teams:
Each participant receives
a souvenir and a charter. For the best 3 performances
of every category there will be a special trophy.
Individuals:
A souvenir for each participant.
Charters only for the runners with a performance above
160 Km. (men) or 140 Km. (women).
Awards for the best three
runners general (men and women).
Besides awards for the
best three in the age classes:
MSEN (20-39), M35(35-39), M40 (40-49), M50 (50-59),
M60 (60-69);
WSEN (20-34), W35 (34-44), W45 (45-54), W55 (55-64).
Doping control
In case of a doping control,
organized by the national union of athletics or the organisation,
the athletes have to submit to this control.
Entry confirmation
After having entried each
team or individual will receive a confirmation with all
the details of the race the third week of April 2008.
Closing date entry
April 1st, 2008. Entry
on the day of the race is only possible when the maximum
number of participants is not reached yet.
